Strengthening Contemporary School Health, Nutrition and HIV Prevention Programmes, 9th-18th July 2008
For the fourth year running, this unique Course aims to enrich participants’ knowledge, underÂstanding and experience of SHN programming and to strengthen ongoing SHN programmes at the country level.The course has been designed to cater for the needs of education, health and community development professionals and project managers with a particular focus on the reality of programming in low income countries. Interactive and participatory, the training formula promotes the sharing of good practice, knowledge and experiences between countries and across sectors. This capacity building contributes to ongoing development partner initiatives in the region that seek to harmonize SHN activities and communication and support networks, thereby contributing to the achievement of Education for All and the Millennium Development Goals.
The course will be held in the International training Centre at ESACIPAC headquarters in the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), Mbagathi Road, Nairobi, Kenya. Participants will have access to lecture theatres, a library and computer laboratory with e mail and internet facilities.
